Honeycombe Interiors was recommended to Price & Myers via Tim Norris-Jones of NJC Commercial Limited to prepare a design brief and costed proposal for the complete strip-out and re-design of their new premises.


The project involved the complete strip-out of the existing office to a bare shell to enable the fit-out of all new services to include electrical, lighting, data, fire alarm, intruder alarm, partitions, ceilings, decorating, air-conditioning, kitchen, plumbing, flooring, bespoke storage, desks, screens, signage, electric roller blinds and office relocation.


Building Regulation approval was arranged through Butler & Young Group Limited who I have used for several years on all my previous projects.


Having only a 6 week window to carry out the project was a challenge, requiring a good team of suppliers and contractors from day one. Knowing there was no possibility of an extension on the project finishing date as Price & Myers current premises would be occupied by the new tenant from Monday, 17th September required all elements of work to be completed without delays and issues. Unfortunately, this was not the case on a couple of elements of the project that did cause concern and changes needed to be made to make sure all was completed on time and within the budget of the proposal.


With the tight time constraints on this project all works were completed on time. This allowed Price & Myers to take occupation ready for staff to start working on Monday, 17 th September 2018. The result of which meant only a very short downtime of work continuity for the transfer from the old to new office.
